Mayenda injured in his first training session

Its a big disappointment. Injuries occur in pre - season, just look at Matete. You can blame medical staff but Mowbray is an exceptionally experienced manager. Did he not see the risk of a young lad who had had no preseason, going straight into full training?

Aye, it'll be Mowbrays fault ffs

Good point, but given the amount of injuries we get we should also consider factors such as coaching methods, conditioning training, and of course medical treatments and if we still have the 🧊 chamber from the Allardyce era plugged in.
Said constantly last season there’s something wrong with our medical set up. All clubs get injuries but ours are excessive and so many long term, there’s got to be a reason why.

Didnt really shock me,but as an aside how many players do we sign that seem to be crocks .Not meaning this kid but in general,we sign players but they dont ever seem to be ready to play.

Root and branch review needed me thinks , you are no doubt correct, who knows what the standards are down at the AOL, and we should also consider the pitches indoor and out at the AOL also, be totally forensic about it.

By the sounds of it, Mowbray wasn't expecting Mayende to play much of a part in the first team anyway.
