Mayenda injured in his first training session

It’s the starting 11 in numerical order isn’t it?
Burstow didn't start so it's not.

I've seen a few people say that Mowbray sounds like he loves Mayenda, I haven't heard him say much about him, what sort of things is he saying for people to think that he rates him so highly?

"Eliezer looks so exciting to me in training,” said the Sunderland head coach.

“I was just watching the last bit of a small-sided game in training with one of the coaches, and he is super powerful and dynamic. He’s got a rocket in his left foot, and I think he is going to catch a few people out when we put him on the pitch. I think the fans should be excited by how dynamic he is".

This is from the Northern Echo a while back.

"I'm just telling you what I'm watching in training - strong, quick, powerful. Hopefully, he can do the damage when he's fit and available.”

Wow! I see now why people think he rates him highly.

Thanks.

Mowbray also said Burstow can't stop scoring goals, (paraphrasing) 'every single chance he gets in training he smashes it in'.

To be fair Mowbray also said Burstow was giving the net a rash from how many goals he was scoring...

He did, but from what I can remember he’s only really talked him up that one time?

He’s mentioned Mayenda quite a lot for a striker of his age, he definitely seems to be the one he wants to get out there ahead of Hemir or Burstow
