And…. He’s not really a door anyway is he?

Hopefully we'll see our 'another' before the end of the season.Good to have options over a 46 game season. Would still add another in the summer as we need more threat off the bench in certain games.
Delighted with the progress of Mayenda, seems like a popular lad in the dressing room as well.
I am happy they both good players but it’s clear Regis will only play one of them and I think that should be MayendaWe could just be happy we’ve got both?
Good pass on him as wellLove the way he Bullies his way past players hes very strong and brings urgency upfront..holds the ball up well and has an eye for goal..the more game time he gets the better he will be
He's also five years olderIsidor is a far better footballer and has better football brain than mayenda
We certainly were today after Wilson came on.Mayenda can move right if Roberts is out. Though I do like them both playing centrally at home, and it's hardly much different to how we're playing anyway, with Browne/Rigg so high.
We practically play in a 442 now.
Its got loads better in a short space of time. I was critical of him/it earlier in season but he was alot more composed today in particular. Looks rapidNot wanting to be negative, because he doing a fine job, but as you mention it, I think touch is something that he might be looking to improve on.
You're right about involvement. Wilson has minimal touches but does score. Mayenda seems to be more involved in build up play tooPeople may agree or disagree and that’s fine and can see the argument to be fair.
Overall I think Mayenda is a better all round player. Gets miles more involved in the game. Better touch, better hold up play. Brave when running one on one with defenders. Fast. Just needs polishing up in front of goal and get his composure which will come with more game time.
Mayenda I know misses chances and that but he’s a player than whether he’s good or bad gets at least 2 good opportunities to score.
it looks like he will probs only play 4-3-3 but I would seriously start Mayenda and bring Isidor on.
This is not a dig at Isidor who I really like . Seems a top fella and is a really good finisher.
Danns? Imagine he has time to come good and is unplayable in the run in and play offs.....if that happens I will take my hat off and apologise to the genius Speakman!Hopefully we'll see our 'another' before the end of the season.
Did I once say they weren’t good assets. All I said was I would play Mayenda over Isidor. I can have whatever opinion I want . Get fkd offWhat a shite thread
Both are class assets vital in picking up points and have played well together
Mayenda has played 11th most minutes in the Sunderland squad. We declined to shell out millions for Tom Cannon.
Cannon has played loads more mins so 9 goals to Mayenda's 7 is not too surprising.
But ...
Goals per 90: Cannon 0.36 Mayenda 0.39
Goal conversion: Cannon 14% Mayenda 16%
Shot Accuracy: Cannon 49% Mayenda 51%
Assists: Cannon 2 Mayenda 5

Plus Mayenda is much faster and much stronger than Cannon. I bet nobody would swap them.We declined to shell out millions for Tom Cannon.
