Seriously jealous. There's a really good place about 5 minutes walk from us. Has an pro kitchen size one that will do a napolitana in about 3 minutes. Also does seriously good porchetta (almost up to Orvieto standards) and bistecca alla fiorentina. Also does these little babies The One And Only Zeppole Recipe - Food Republic with creme anglaise and lemon curd on the side - very addictive.
Sounds cracking that
As you may know we didn’t know they owned this place until we 2 chose Bari for somewhere to go & they telt us when we were there 🙄
It’s a good hour south of Bari nearest place Martina Franca.
He is going to let it out for hols with mates rates - sometime 🙄🙄🙄🙄
I was on holiday about 10 or so years ago in Sorento was talking to a owner of pizza cafe and he asked where we were from. I said a place you won’t have heard of South Shields and he replied, oh my brother owns Gabriel’s in seaburn , ha ha
Been in there ( the Seaburn one 🙄🙄😄)

The land that’s cast asunder ( cut off)
Iirc background to its name

Bede, sometimes called the father of English history, began his monastic career at Monkwearmouth monastery in Sunderland, before moving to the newly founded Jarrow monastery in 685 (these monasteries together formed the dual Monkwearmouth-Jarrow Abbey). It therefore seems likely that he was born in or near Sunderland. Indeed, Bede later wrote that he was "ácenned on sundorlande þæs ylcan mynstres" (born in a separate land of this same monastery); here, "sundorlande" translates literally as "separate land" but could refer to the village of Sunderland.[6][7]Alternatively, it is possible that Sunderland was later named in honour of Bede's connections to the area, by people familiar with this statement of his.

You are right, marra

Hope you don’t mind me asking marra, but where are you from originally, your username would suggest a blue scouser but wouldn’t be the first time that’s been misleading.

Morning Dili, had Hank on and he wants retribution for his ban, if he does that on frosty the much waited return could be short lived.

Andy I have a full size statue of the Venerable Bede in the High Altar Screen in my Cathedral St Albans.

Morning Wakey & morning all. 🖐

The good news is, I've got today and tomorra off work (GTFI) 👍

The bad news is, I'm having trouble accessing the PF forum (BOOOOOO !!)
I can only get on here, if I first click on the "new posts" function, which is better than nowt, I s'pose. 😑
Anyway, it'll probably sort itsel out, eventually. 🙄

Have a good & safe day, Wakey and all Hankees & Hankesses. 👍

😂
As if you'd need to be careful around me. 🙄

I'm a gentleman (when I need to be) 😊

I know you know of Middleton Grange shopping centre.
The Museum is compact but canny, and The Trincomalee is canny too

The Heugh battery, over on the Headland is decent, and the promenade from the marina to Seaton Carew is a lovely walk (or jog) in the warmer months.
We'll have a picnic on the beach, and I'll treat you to an ice cream and coffee at Sunny Seaton by the sea. 😊
What more could a girl ever want ? 😉

Aft'noon TB and thanks mate 🖐
Still having niggles but at least I can view threads and post on here, so all's well. 👍
Have an enjoyable Friday, mate. 👍
After a night on the pop I'll eat anything cold:lol:
Aft'noon Bonzo 🖐
Same here, mate.
In the days of Roker Park, I always drank in the Red Lion, on Roker Avenue, but I used to call in the greasy spoon cafe, which was just along from the Red Lion, on the same side of the road.
I used to get a king sized chip butty to soak up the gallon I'd drink afore the match, and I'd also get a king sized burger with onions to eat at half time.
Thankfully I slept through a lot of the games, and used to eat the burger at home, some time during the early hours of Sunday morning, when I had the drunken munchies.
The burger was clay cold, but I always enjoyed it. 😊

Afternoon all, had my hardest hour on the rowing machine yet, its soul destroying at the best of times so I put Sky Sports on to take the boredom away, was a canny show on Cafu and I was going well, it then went on to a Top 10 Cup finals highlights show, the Micky Gray play off final was shown, I haven't seen it before as was like a death in the family at the time and had no desire to relive it, well it just sucked all energy out of me, amazing the pain our club bestow on us......ffs
The bairn just came in and stood next to me. Then she kicked her leg in the air while squatting on the other leg, farted loudly, then ran off giggling her head off.

Proper heart bursting with pride moment that 😂
Did she not ask you to pull her finger 😂 she sounds like an absolute belter
