Matthew Mott to be ODI coach

The Rat

Striker
Aussie woman's coach, supposedly gets on well with the test coach, so they want them insync

I have to say I would love Colly to come to Durham like, wont happen but maybe it would do him good leading a club for a while to build up experience.

Well my bet was Colly. I think he'd have been succesful as well. Hope we can get him back at Durham in some capacity.

Was saying it might benefit him although in all honestly how much of a shite do FTECB give about the cc? To get the England gig colly might be better coaching behind the scenes with England, mcc or even the ipl or some such (how likely he'd be to get a gig in somewhere like the ipl, 16.4 or some smaller international team I've no idea)

Id love him back at Durham but can't see it helping his international prospects and I've no idea if he would have the appetite for it

Colly has always known what to do and who to be chummy with to get to the top, I cant see him stepping back to CC even though its my dream, will probs become assistsant in one format, maybe tests

Colly has the CV to get an IPL gig, but it seems to be dominated by aussies and SAs based on who they are mates with

Not so sure Colly would take on an assistant coach role as it would be a demotion. He's been pretty much full on cricket for all his adult life. Time for him to take a break from it all. Not so sure either if he's got any formal coaching qualifications.
