Thats not quite true. You have just come to the end of a three year agreement which raised pay by an average of 12%.

He like all Tories was economicall with the truth he will be including increments you get over the years due to starting on a lower wage. It took me 5 years to earn as much as I got on qualifying when I worked briefly in a Nursing home.

Probably entry level nurses but NHS is at the end of 3 year deal biased towards the lower grades and that won't be an average.

We moved down here in the 1990s and the wife who works for the NHS in a similar job to me probably earned 25% less, she now earns about the same mainly as a result of the last 3 year deal.

He included the normal increments they gain from increasing experience.
