Massive missed opportunity

Manager needs to find a system and form for play offs
Need to hope Le fee is fit ?to play as a 10 as there’s very little creativity through middle .
Still been v enjoyable season but if we could just somehow “click “ at the right time would help -we look a bit flat

Panic mode on. No need to panic, fatigue crept in. have you notice the different Riggs, when he came on, he look fresh, play better than the last few weeks. jobe should rest soon. Luke Onien and of course patto, Dan Neil. Its vital for play off games.
Fatigue is the biggest load of bollocks in football for me, all players have squads for this reason

Le Fee v Luton ?

The midfield three that have played most of the season have ten goals between them (Jobe 4, Rigg 4 and Dan Neil 2). We really needed one of them to be hitting double figures to threaten the top two. Add to that the wingers haven’t been anywhere near as prolific as Clarke was last season (Mundle 4, Watson 2, Roberts 2).
Le Fee was LW mate, think people mean Neil,Rigg,Jobe,Brown.I wouldnt be surprised if 09,ballard,Cirkin,Hume,Mepham havnt scored as many.

I’m not one that’s holding onto us having a chance of top two. However last night we could’ve claimed back two points on Burnley and Sheffield. Our home form has been rancid this Calendar year but we had a massive chance last night to have put that bit extra pressure on those above. Shame now it’s about finding form before the playoffs keeping players fit and seeing who we get. Could’ve been an exciting end but it’s looking like it’s ten? Games for players to pull their fingers out or we risk going into the playoffs disjointed and out of form.

Obviously we are not playing as well as we were the first half of the season. Also clubs have worked us out and their tactics stop us 'doing our thing'.

That is why I reckon we have to give 4 4 2 a chance ie change tacticsup a bit
. We did create 2 good chances in the first half, Mayenda should have squared a ball to Isador and Isador missed an easy header.
I do wonder if Mundle had been on instead if Watson, the 4 4 2 would have been better.
Having said that Watson needs playing time to get 'match' ready.

Overall however it's our in poor form, we have lost our energy and fast passing 'brio'. Playoffs here we come!

Opposition teams respect us more, which makes our job much harder and we aren't really decisive enough to change how we play.

Last night was another game of slow, sideways build up play whilst ensuring we remain pretty solid and balanced. It's frustrating as fuck because we are going to be in the play-offs even if we lost 6 of the last 9. We should be going all out to win every single game, throwing caution to the wind because we have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Pissing points away with negative, boring football at this stage, with our position secured, is criminal.

You say that like we will go into next season with the same team.
I’m nervous who we will sell and who will actively want to move. We’ve said in the past we won’t stand in the way of those that want to leave. We could be looking at a few obvious sales like jobe Watson and rigg but then players like cirkin Neil might look to go. Then mepham will need replacing it could be a very different side that kicks off next season should we fail in the playoffs.

But the problem is we haven't used our squad at all. Le Bris flogged the same 13/14 players into the ground and made the fewest substitutions in the league. Compounded, of course, by injuries to key positions (missing Mundle and Watson at the same time left us without a left winger for months, Brown and Samed at the same time meant no cover for Rigg - and refusal to use Aleksic, Ba or Aouchiche).

Not sure if 'rancid' is a fair description of our home form this calendar year mind: P8 W4 D3 L1

It also includes a win against the team currently top of the table.

If both Burnley and Sheffield Utd had lost and we won it could have perhaps been the start of something.

At least Burnley have started to concede goals which is a plus.

5 of the top 6 sides played last night and none of them got 3 points. Coventry's good run ended too.

It's not just us struggling to beat sides. It's a very competitive league.
Exactly , I think a lot of our fans think we’re entitled to win every game ,apart from them above us , it’s just not that simple

It looks better on paper than it’s felt being there. Watford, Plymouth, almost felt like defeats to be honest even the wins have been hard work watching.

You can stand at the season start and say its a massive opportunity but the table tells the truth
Yes 3 points on a particular game means this and that but you get the result you deserve most of the time
It's about going to the next game
We are ,what we are
We didn't all go " playoffs and promotion "in August. We'll I didn't

Not sure what’s happened to us. We seem bereft of ideas in attack and always keen to go sideways or backwards. Shadow of the team we were watching at the beginning of the season

Last ten games only 3 teams have scored more than us, our bigger issue from the team that was flying at the start of the season is conceding goals. We were keeping clean sheets and conceding very few back then. We always need to score more then one to stand a chance of winning.

We had about 9 clean sheets in the first 14 games, we've had about 4 in the last 14.

I’ll be honest I did, well playoffs I think people forget how close we were to the playoffs offs before we sacked mogga. The collapse second half of last season I lay firmly at the feet of speakman and kld tbh as I honestly think if we’d have kept Mowbray we’d have been with a shout of playoffs again as he’s shown since he’s taken over wba he may have wobbles but he will normally keep teams within touching distance of a playoff spot.
