Mason Mount

There really is no need to have Bellingham Rice and Mount all in cm. We need to sacrifice one for Foden or Grealish
Rice n Henderson in a 4231, need to start a bit more uptempo from now on.
Perm 3 from maddison, Grealish, Bellingham, mount, foden, saka, Sterling.
Bring on the Leeds-City lad whose name I can nivver remember when Henderson’s tiring if we are coasting it, bring on Bellingham if we aren’t.
Sub Kane off for if we are coasting it anarl. Fuck his golden boot campaign….the selfish prick.
Sorted.

Mount was one of our better players against USA but he still shouldn’t be first choice
Agree -Foden Grealish Hendo to start for me
I would also rest Kane and play one of the two other strikers (I kna !!)

He's an athlete, as is Rice, and to a lesser degree Bellingham who can play a bit too. Grealish and Foden are footballers. We've rarely chosen footballers over athletes, the likes of Bowles, Le Tissier and Worthington rarely got a sniff, even Beardsley struggled to find a place initially. I'm not saying either Foden or Grealish would feature for Brazil given their usual wealth of talent but in context and similar circumstances would they be left out as often?

Whilst this may be true, Foden and Grealish don't play where Rice or Bellingham do so it's not as if they're being picked ahead of him. In five years I'd imagine there's a good chance Foden's a centre midfielder but for now it's clear watching him play for City that he can be a lot more effective wider and higher up the pitch.

The three most creative midfielders we've got are all at their best for their clubs in wider positions. Grealish and Foden high on the left and Maddison high on the right. Not in centre mid.

Either him or Foden. I like Mount but there is no need to hae all 3 of Bellingham, Mount and Rice in the team. Get somebody more creative ahead of them to bridge the gap to Kane.

Not sure that's how you get the best out of Kane. He wants to and always will drop deeper to pick the ball up and create, so if you're playing a creative player there then him and Kane will be in the same areas. It's why Dele Alli was a good match for Kane at Tottenham (before he turned to a bag of shite), because he'd actually run beyond Kane and take advantage of the space he left. Foden wide left probably makes the most sense I reckon at the moment.

That midfield would get ripped to pieces. If foden plays he’s got to play instead of Sterling.
Agree -sorry marra never said where and who for -I meant for Sterling .
We have some great talent that arnt playing at mo
Mind that’s probs why I’m on the couch !
