Am I the only one that finds the whole Marvel / DC / Disney world an utter con?
No, mate. We denigrate Japanese knotwood yet laud Marvel for choking cinema in a similar metaphorical fashion. We are an odd species. ;)

The problem here is that you’re thinking of them as films.
You have to remember that comic fans are used to reading stories that are released every week/month ad infinitum, often rehashing the same ideas over and over. Yet they are still popular, even after 70+ years.
Surely the comic fan’s ultimate dream would be to have Marvel bosh out a new film every month ad infinitum?
People moan that they are taking over cinema, it’s the same old rubbish and when will it end, not realising that comic fans will happily lap it up forever. They are literally never going to grow bored of them, so why would any studio stop making them?
Better just accept it and go and see something else instead.

This. Also if you don't like them don't go see them and stop coming on these threads telling every one how shite they are!

It hasn’t always been the case though, although Marvel had high readership in the 1960/70s, they started to experience comic sales loses during the 1980s, also they experienced failures in film and tv, and in mid 1990s Marvel filed for bankruptcy.

In order to meet their debts, sold off their character rights to various movie studios, the first film released after this was Blade, it proved to be a moderate success and not long afterwards saw the start of the Bryan Singer’s X-Men, and Sam Rami’s Spider-Man success.

It all could have very different though.

Was hoping to get to see Hawkeye, WandaVision, What If and Falcon when Disney+ is launched in November, but then learned only being launched in states and probably won’t be launched in the UK until a couple of years later (hopefully not)

I think from the entire lot, I'm more excited for Mahershala Ali's run as Blade than out else. Already seen a few melts having a bit whinge at his casting because he played 'Cottonmouth' in that abysmal Luke Cage Netflix show.

On plus side.... No Howard the Duck stand alone film

Some big starts in there, likes of Angelina Jolie, Mahershala Ali & Natalie Portman
