His Everton side weren't even fit by the end of the season. Barkley and lukaku were ridiculously overweight. Could hardly run when we played them.

His Everton played some really entertaining football in his first season there but he is a too attacking minded manager and too stubborn to change. I don't know if he's learnt the lesson but I really hope Sunderland don't appoint him.

Given that Wigan were much the same under him I think it's fair to say he hasn't.

I stood witness to Howard Wilkinson, and I had a bad feeling about him, I was proven right, if people from the club are reading its David Moyes the supporters want, and the fact is you need all Good PR and good grace, because to be honest with you, one more scandal one more cock up or one more disastrous appointment and you may just see something that has not been seen since Mr Murray was in charge so be warned, we take a lot we shouldn't but we do, that's what having the best supporters in the world is for you, but even we have our breaking point!

I know we will be casting our bet but I don't even see why we have contacted him. Makes no sense, philosophy wise alone he's miles away.
Exactly, like I say I've just been waiting for the link, I'm hoping it's just because he's available. I'll be less than a happy bunny if it happens

Exactly my thoughts. If he's one of the names of those initially sounded out I hope it's a f***ing long list. I should check my voicemail and see if I've had a call.

If he is one of just a few then the board clearly still have no idea what they are doing.

I meant what I said but it was only meant to be an extreme example of how little I like martinez. I don't wanna be known as the O'Shea advocate!

I know. That's the scary part....JOS would actually be more suitable, bit still an utterly terrible idea.

Can't believe we are even considering Martinez. I suppose he contributed to the win that kept us up fairly massively.

Limited to a choice between the two, who would people choose, Martinez or Dyche?

Dyche all day long for me.

Talk about punch in the face or a kick in the balls. Can I answer neither? Just not have a manager at all?.....free-form football, everyone just choose their own tactics and play wherever they like.

That's what Martinez does.

For Martinez to be successful he would need a good fitness regime behind him, a good defensive coach, and someone who can organise set piece work, as these are all areas he neglects.

Or we could save ourselves the bother by appointing someone who factors these considerations in automatically.

two managers available, one a success at Everton that they were devastated to lose, the other an absolute disaster at Everton and was promptly sacked. How many clubs would pick the latter? You just know SAFC would pick the cheaper one.
