The guy is clueless: team talk must have been were playing Fulham so get to the half way line and hoof it up to graham and fletcher against one of the biggest centre halfs in the league

What sums it up is - n'diaye our biggest player used to stand on the half way line for set peices

Wanted to go up for the last minute free kick team mates telling him yes and MON stops him from going up

You know your im trouble when you can't beat Fulham at home

N'Diaye can't head it to save his life and we'd already conceded a goal on the break from a set-piece so we kept one extra player back. It is actually quite sensible as long as you aren't a thick tit.

We also sent O'Shea and Bramble forward so needed a little bit of cover just in case. There would have been a meltdown on here if we conceded because we had no-one in defence.

Sometimes in football you have to gamble. Mon has not been willing to gamble since the positive start last season, and as a result his win percentage is shit.

It wasn't much of a gamble to take either given that all Fulham players were back anyway.

I take it you weren't at the game then? You'll have seen Fulham kept 1 up ad in the late stages brought everyone back....each time we had - Johnson colback Gardner and n'diaye standing back....where is the logic there.

The logic is we'd already been hit on the break and N'Diaye can't head the ball. It's really quite obvious.

And sometimes you don't. This was one of those occasions.

When you're 5 points above relegation, it's not that time.

We could have been 8 above had we scored in the last 4 minutes. Fulham had no one forward so we should have been in the box.

That's Mon to a tee though. Why try and win one game when you draw three.

So 4 players marking either one Fulham player or no Fulham players and the logic of keeping 4 back is obvious?

When Fulham had players out of the box for the counter. This time they were all back defending, becuase they were on the back foot and looking to snatch a point and keep from losing, unlike when they broke in the first half with 60 odd minutes to play and while one up.

Are you as idiotic about everything else in your life as you are about football?

We sent Bramble and O'Shea forward to try and score the winner. We did attack, just not recklessly.

Oh yes our prolific defensive players who have scored how many goals between them in the last two seasons? In fact never mind scoring how many times have they got their head to the ball from a set piece or even troubled a defender

Yes, it's very obvious. Unless of course you hate Martin O'Neill and will criticise him for absolutely anything.

Aye, we should have sent Alf forward as his 3 goals in his entire career would have ensured us all 3 points. Fuck sake man.
