Fight that comes from a natural sense of preservation I think mate. Besides, even if I'm wrong a manager who can only instill a sense of purpose in his team after going behind is still not managing very well.

I've said for a while that I believe he doesn't feel motivated himself and when he's like that he can't bring himself to motivate the team the way he can when he's got the buzz himself.
The two good spells we've had under him were when he first came and was up for a fresh challenge and that spell after the Beeb interviewer asked him if he was doubting himself and it cut him to the quick
