Stop living 20 yrs ago man , he's a totally inept dinosaur who will suit u lot like I've said before u will be fighting relegation again , your saving grace last season was fast attacking football but oneill will put pay to that n relegate you lot I hope ,cos u pathetic lot got far too big for ur boots last season !Big move for him in the betting markets for Leicester job.
Exactly what happened at Boro with Tony Mowbray.Never go back, so they say. Thing if its going shit the fans will cut him slack because of his history with the club. That could be quite a bad thing, or good.
I haven't read the thread so it's probably been mentioned but Sunderland was his first job without Robertson, it may have been the balance and influence that he brought that was missing. This is what I cannot understand, when Martin was manager off leicester in the 90's,we were very attacking,Our midfield of Lennon,Izzet and Robbie Savage all complimented each other.
So why did he go all negative with you guys, was the team not good enough, formation change,I'm intrigued to know.

You are in the wrong place to be fair. We are/were shite. He brought us out of that for a short period and despite the players we knew were not very good, he had them playing above themselves for a period. This is what I cannot understand, when Martin was manager off leicester in the 90's,we were very attacking,Our midfield of Lennon,Izzet and Robbie Savage all complimented each other.

Some managers do well at certain clubs.
Eddie Howe at Burnley was awful, then went back to Bournemouth, say no more!
I don't know what wrong at Sunderland or Villa, yet when you mention Zaha,as good as he is,he has only done well for Palace.
It looks like he spent the money and it didn't come off, which happens
The way I see it,is he could walk into the club change nothing tactically and hopefully kick on,added spice is that you are first up
Didn't you get a bit of reputation for playing decent stuff at times last season?
He's an absolute legend at Leicester.
Got us promoted to the Premiership.
Four successive top ten finishes. (Only Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool & Chelsea did the same in that period)
Three League Cup Finals in fours season and won two of them.
Two UEFA Cup campaigns losing to Atletico Madrid (we were robbed) and Red Star Belgrade.
In the late 1990's we were arguably the fifth best team in England if we could put our first XI out but lacked squad depth.
But he's a dinosaur in today's game.
No thanks Martin, lets not ruin the legend.
We didn't mate. We mentioned Saha. Louis Saha,Some managers do well at certain clubs.

Didn't have Robertson by his side, it was like Brian Clough without Peter Taylor at Leeds (admittedly, the failure wasn't of the same magnitude). This is what I cannot understand, when Martin was manager off leicester in the 90's,we were very attacking,Our midfield of Lennon,Izzet and Robbie Savage all complimented each other.

We were more gung-ho,you score 2 we score 3,it worked in the end though we got a bit of luck(very late goals again West Ham and WBA)
Very much doubt I'd have renewed my season ticket for 2013/14 had O'Neill not been sacked, the football we played under him from March 2012 onwards was truly shameful. Not even Poyet, as much as he tried, could have outdone the cowardice shown by O'Neill in that Norwich game.
He played exactly the same tactics but the game has moved on. He didn't have Robertson there to do the day to day and being a bone idle **** he didnt do it either. Rumour has it he would see the players once or twice a week. This is what I cannot understand, when Martin was manager off leicester in the 90's,we were very attacking,Our midfield of Lennon,Izzet and Robbie Savage all complimented each other.
