Wheres this guy gone like v quiet these days as is jardine
He got banned. For threatening people.

I got banned 2 months prior, for pointing out he was threatening people. Which was slightly irritating.

I knew you would say that, is that it?

What football decisions did she get wrong?

Why are you putting her in with De Fanti and LC

This thread is moaning about football decisions, they were all taken by the manager and the director of football, none by Byrne.

People don't understand the role.

Monumental fuck up tbf

No one criticised him. We were curious why he hasn't said a word.

I've just googled the words "football chief executive" in news.

The search results reveal, that in the last few weeks - Blackpool, Walsall, Chester, Leeds and Villa have "unveiled" new Chief Execs.

The Deputy Chief Exec at Everton has joined the board and taken up a new higher profile role

Manchester City's CEO, Soriano, has been talking up the club's transfer prospects.

Jez Moxey at Wolves is negotiating new contracts for some of their 'stars'.

Ian Ayre at Liverpool discusses rubber stamping Jurgen Klopps transfer dealings.

Etc etc.

The roles of the CEO as I understand it is to negotiate contracts, negotiate sponsors, help identify positions within the club that need filling ( not strictly coaching staff), mainly all the financial responsibilities. Other CEO roles differ from club to club.
When the board of directors have had a meeting almost always with the CEO there he will be given his figures for the season ie how much revenue is available or if a club is in danger of winding up or is in the lower leagues and needs to sell players to finance its existence.
Some clubs use the CEO as a public relations figure but not many do.
There is a debate to be had as to wether we should have a person who represents the club who has communicates with the supporters. ( apart from the manager that is ) I for one wouldn't mind that but I don't think it should be the CEO. I would rather the CEO concentrates on the finacial side of things and gets the players the manager has targeted while minimising transfer, agent, wages and signing on costs.
The CEO we have has a good record of reducing outgoings which I suspect is primarily why he got the job.

Spot on.

Right, so no Bain no gain it is then.

Which ones? Instead of just trying to abuse people

I'm still waiting on which big football decision she made

Just provide one and I will leave. Its a really simple question, not sure why you tried to turn it into a slagging off contest

Please give me just one decision. NOT FOR US. We have a chairman and a director of football who make them!!!
I've got a secret for you

Because it would be of interest to Sunderland supporters?
I'm far more interested in the players, it's not really of interest to me to see him or hear him, it makes no difference what he says, it's what he does that matter. I'm a football fan that's the only thing I care about.
Sometimes I long for the days when you barely knew who Keith Collins was

I think 95% of the posters on here who have come across you on this board would agree you're an idiot.

The other 5% are your 'boys' - five and haway and dixon and the like.
Sorry, why am I getting a mention here? As far as I'm aware I've never agreed with a single post of johnsons in years

He was going into his office at Black Cat house last Wednesday morning at 8.50am. looked the business.
Eh? That was the 29th June. He hadn't even started then. Are you sure it wasn't Ryan you saw?
