Which other clubs? Arsenal or Accrington?
At the time of coming onboard we were in the premier league and doubt CEO's would take a wage reduction, should they perhaps a percentage should be reduced in line with players but we would be getting even worse then Bain.

Been sacked yet Martin? ;):)
Im working out my severance package and counting my salary hard job you know.

I know for a fact rodwell was offered to celtic in jan. all was agreed until we asked for £5mil transfer fee. Says it all about the ownership as we could of got rid him for nothing but saved money on wages. Rodwell is a shithouse but club decided to be clever. Bain gets some shit (deservedly) but regime is/was thick as mince also.

There are several cases where CEOs have not taken bonuses or share options when they’ve done a crap job. I think the new head of EasyJet also took a reduced wage to match his predecessor who had been on less and was a woman.

The bloke has been not just an abject failure, but a pathetic whinging cock, and a pathetic example of how a business leader in a CEO role in any industry should go about his job.

Bain is the CEO and by the sounds of it, neither he nor Coleman were in any kind of regular cadence of communications with Short. Effectively then Bain is the boss, Short gave him a huge package on the premise the bloke knew what he was doing in the day to day running of a football club.

It’s patently obvious that this was not the case, and now he’s running around pointing the finger at anyone and everyone other than himself.

It’s not up to the owner to get involved in shit like player transfers when you have a CEO on £1.2m a year who should be handling this.

Regardless of how much Money he is earning, if their is no budget to get players then not much anyone can do, he has had to cut like crazy just to get close to evening the books, and we wont know what job he has done until next year, for all we really know he could have done a lot better job then we think.

Bain rubber stamped £30m of useless signings for Moyes........hardly no budget

In fairness he's not gonna know whether a player is shit or not, he makes the effort to acquire the players the manager wants. How would he have known if N'Dong was shit or not? He was obviously told these were the players we needed, he's not a football manager

Two relegation's in two seasons. takes some doing
Its easy to cut costs, Its very difficult to do it properly and keep a business afloat.
He should have got shot of Moyes, instead he blew his chance in the Premier then ended up having to cut too much too quickly in the Championship.
As the CEO of a football club the man is a fraud.
He knows nothing about football and is an incompetent businessman.
Needs to go asap

I know someone who was a part of one the consortiums who wanted to buy us, there was an reciept on the books for 80k for first team suits
