Actions speak louder than words.
Short and the assorted hired goons he's had running the club over the last several years, have yet to show us shit.

Said 'fundamental' or a version of the word, ten times during that interview.

I like him and good luck to him.

No chance will the concerts get knocked on the head. They bring in around £6m a year, not to mention business to the local economy, it would be crazy decision getting rid.

He'll be meaning the shit we invested in trying to conquer Africa, absolutely mental idea that.
My thoughts as well, why wouldnt we have concerts. It only affects the re-laying of the pitch, but they've sorted that the last 2 years.

The words 'long term' and 'building something' were used frequently. The club are just aware the fans are restless and want to quash any hopes of Moyeseh being sacked.
That's exactly what this is and it will work. It will give Moyes a bit more time and I'm not sure that is a good thing.

He has signed up to cost cutting and Moyes has spent badly on what little money was available. Unfortunately if things continue we will end up just like villa.

Ah right, so we're fucked ..... West Ham ticket anyone?

Buy in youth and build on them plus academy kids... Ndong instead of m'villa...
Watmore and Gooch in the side etc.

It's a lovely idea. However, we spent more time in 20th place than villa last season. We finished 17th. That's hardly a good starting point!!
Boro tried it under Southgate. Went down. Villa tried it to an extent last season.
If he likes sacking people, then at this rate he'll have plenty of sacking to do in the summer when we shape up for the likes of Burton albion.
It's pathetic, and yet another absolute nobody implementing stupid ideas that wreck our club.

If only we could have fan ownership...

Tell me a manager who would have been happy to have £27M to spend and would have been able to buy 3-4 first team quality players, including a young, striker with the ability to score. On top of that, bring in a further 5 players to bulk out the squad. This summer was a shit storm because we had to do so much with so little. We can easily look back now and say we should have bought him, or paid less for him etc. Trouble is we lost a drawing factor to the club in the form of Allardyce. We struggle to sign quality because we aren't ambitious enough, we aren't ambitious enough because we can't afford to compete, we can't afford to compete because of shit decisions made over the past 6 years, shit decisions were made because we had the wrong people running the football club.

I never said that. Its an obvious comment, but I'm saying if things continue as they are we will end up in the championship.

I have no confidence in Moyes being able to rally the troops. This is the weakest squad we have had in the premiership since that record breaking season years ago. Our only hope is a good recruitment batch in January but I can't see that being funded.

Moyes has a lot to prove and he deserves no more time than his predecessors. It's a harsh job being a manager in the premiership but he didn't buy well.

Spot on. This 'we only needed 3/4 talk is absolute garbage. We can barely find fill a bench after signing 10 ffs

The interviewer is so poodle!

There were many opportunities for him to ask "how?" Or "what specifically are you looking to change" or "can you explain the detail of how you will do that?"

For example -

We need to improve revenue
We need to improve player trading

Etc etc

What I want to know is how you are going to do these things!

It's like a plc CEO saying he needs to improve EBITDA, increase revenues and decrease costs

Headline statements are not persuasive without the detail of the how
