For the eagle eyed business leaders amongst you, you will have easily picked up on the timing and significance of that interview.

Three months in is now the end of his '90 days plan' which is the now standard tool in Leadership positions.

I know because next week signals the end of my own 90 day plan in my new leadership role.

It's the end of an initial predominantly observational 90 days, and an announcement of your intentions going forward based on those observations.

So now you know what he is alluding to in some parts of the interview and why now.

"This football club has to get better at buying and selling players.......... We should be looking at getting players to be able to sell at a greater value...... let's build....... we have to get our player trade model right "
"Oh yeah, just there on the dotted line Victor, that will do nicely, cheers"
That's a bit harsh. Anichebe was not signed to be a player we buy to sell on at a profit he was a stop gap because we failed to get a striker target in through the window and he was available on a short term contract and he knew the manager. Now mouse has had a little more time to scout possible targets I would expect us to get another striker (young, hungry and possibly from the championship) in Jan with Victor taking a step back then leave at the end of the season no matter what league we are in.

The whole interview is tarnished by our situation, Im not talking off the field here where he will need time to make changes, Im talking about performances since Manchester City away.

Our squad isnt as bad as having 2 points and winless heading towards the end of October. Infact i would bet low Championship sides would pick up one win in 8 games against Premiership opposition, Its been shocking.
No argument from me on that

It looks like you could have stopped that sentence after player. Of course it's harsh but he wasn't fit when we signed, he still isn't fit but we've been paying him all of this time. Yup we need to get the transfer model right

Thought he spoke well. I suppose at some point we have to say give these lads time to turn it around.

Whatever commercial venture the club gets involved with has nowt to do with what the manager and players do on the pitch.
The manager and chief executive shouldn't be using this as an excuse, especially considering how shite were playing.

Is the new role in the scouts going well?

The things I took from it are...
1) Moyes is here for the long term(right decision IMO).
2) Although he didn't actually say it, I think we are going to knock the concerts and all that shite on the head. Mentioned a couple of times about focusing all the commercial stuff towards things that related to the football side of the business and cutting other things out.
3) Sounds like him and Moyes might be doing talk-ins and actually start interacting with the fans. A good move IMO.
4) The policy now is to sign young players and then sell them on for a profit.

No chance will the concerts get knocked on the head. They bring in around £6m a year, not to mention business to the local economy, it would be crazy decision getting rid.

He'll be meaning the shit we invested in trying to conquer Africa, absolutely mental idea that.

It's just more of what you'd expect to hear. They can all talk till they're blue in the face but ultimately its gotta change on the pitch, end of.
