What do you mean, What did i expect?
Saying the interview isn't tarnished by our current situation and 'you're sick of hearing without change'. He's only had 3 months ffs and his hands aren't tied...

This was always going to be the case though, like I've said, we had 14 players and had £25m to spend. The transfer window was never as easy as some made out.

The club will be making financial changes that will take years to really cut into the debt tbh, we can only take Bain at his word so far. I wouldn't rather he came out and said what he hasn't rather than say nothing.

I just don't get the "we'll look at how shit we are" approach. He's trying to explain why.

The things I took from it are...
1) Moyes is here for the long term(right decision IMO).
2) Although he didn't actually say it, I think we are going to knock the concerts and all that shite on the head. Mentioned a couple of times about focusing all the commercial stuff towards things that related to the football side of the business and cutting other things out.
3) Sounds like him and Moyes might be doing talk-ins and actually start interacting with the fans. A good move IMO.
4) The policy now is to sign young players and then sell them on for a profit.
more or less how I read. I think the fanzone may become a cropper but also Stadium naming rights may be on the agenda

he stated the obvious, and what we have been saying for ages that when we have been struggling for points we sell out Shakira and Westlife concerts FFS!
this is a football club and we care nowt about anything but winning football matches. Yes we need revenue but staying in the premier is the ultimate and will pay a big chunk of what we need annually.
Moysey is staying and that is good but we must sort this sh ite now, all the interviews in the world mean nowt, its points we need not battle cries or speeches

The whole interview is tarnished by our situation, Im not talking off the field here where he will need time to make changes, Im talking about performances since Manchester City away.

Our squad isnt as bad as having 2 points and winless heading towards the end of October. Infact i would bet low Championship sides would pick up one win in 8 games against Premiership opposition, Its been shocking.

I watched that and I dunno what to think. He speaks well but surely in any business you need to speculate to accumulate and we haven't done this.
If we are successful to an extent on the pitch ie: winning some games. The business side will be better but we haven't invested enough. He didn't mention that.
I Nearly fell ower when he mentions "thinking outside the box " ! A bit David Brent I think.
Those who have seen it what's your views?

The words 'long term' and 'building something' were used frequently. The club are just aware the fans are restless and want to quash any hopes of Moyeseh being sacked.

"This football club has to get better at buying and selling players.......... We should be looking at getting players to be able to sell at a greater value...... let's build....... we have to get our player trade model right "
"Oh yeah, just there on the dotted line Victor, that will do nicely, cheers"

As poor as the transfer window we just had was, Bain and Moyes were barely in the club by then. They do have track records of being decent, but things here are so bad that they won't change over night. A new owner wouldn't even change things over night, and personally I'd like to see new leadership at the club. Perhaps this is where Bain and Moyes are beginning to get things under control and put themselves on the club. We have had almost a decade of shite and poor decisions to wipe away first.

Bain saying that a business realignment is needed in terms of focus on Football is concerned, he's right, it's something us fans have said for a while. Commercially things come easy with success on the pitch. But with no success you constantly fight losing battles as investors don't want to invest, agents want more money to deal with you and your poor team, average players want more money to come here, good players aren't interested in coming here at all etc.

We all know it's a long term turnaround, but with good leadership and proper investment it is an doable turnaround and a doable growth of the club on and off the field.

He's right. Unfortunately we aren't at that stage yet. One window.
