Marsden grotto

Thinking of places in daft locations. Is the 3 Horse Shoes still going strong? For some reason I assumed you'd know mate.
I don't go often but the car park's usually quite full. They put a massive extension on it that opened between lockdowns.

Lots of potential there but the bait isn't great, which puts us off going. They've got about four menus on all at the same time, and they're pretty extensive. That might give you a clue as to the quality of what comes out.

That said, the last thing I had there was a hot beef sarnie and chips, and you couldn't complain. Maybe just stay away from the more elaborate items.

I forgot about their legendary menu with about 60 options to choose from. No need man.

Well there you go. Offer a ridiculous range of food at an inconsistent level of quality. There's ye secret.

Cheers lads.

He doesn't really say what he thought of the food but the implication is that it was canny.

"My companion and I shared a surfboard platter (£35.95), which included lightly battered cod pieces, crispy whitebait, mackerel pate, pancetta, giant king prawns with heads and tails on, and chunky chips. We didn’t need dessert."

But you're probably far better off taking the advice of a bunch of gobshites who've never eaten there, or at least not in the last 30 years.

Another plus point if you're going there to eat is that there is no f***ing wi-fi signal inside.
