No there's a balance to be had, but you can't gamble. We're only just getting out of the financial mess created, i don't want the club to do so again. None of us knows the deal done with the EFL to prevent transfer embargo. If we break it by risking and hoping deals go through, which don't. Then get punished for the next summer window. The club would get panned. I suspect the owners are doing a balancing act. But we don't know the financial balancing we have to do.

No debt, 32k average and we cant buy a Fookin Striker.....

I take your point but then what I would ask is why would our seemingly very transparent owners not just tell us this?

Fact is, Donald is excitable. On the one hand, he’ll be on a podcast telling us that we have a super duper league one budget that would compete with team in the league above or that we’ve bids in that will eclipse our entire summer spending but then on the other we can’t reinvest Maja cash and we seem to be recruiting freebies and loanees.

I think we get partial transparency from the owners and because Short was so reclusive, too many people hang on his word, which occasionally drifts into PR.

If he said that we are very much recovering and the only way we can survive in the short term is by doing limited business in terms of fees, selling assets, and bringing in frees and loans then that’d be fine by me. But there’s been, at the very least, heavy insinuation that we’ve cash to spend and as of 21:05 on the deadline day, it really appears we don’t have much to spend at all.

If only it was that simple...we have three players on books who are on horrendous wages for a Div 3 club not to mention money we still owe on transfer fees and a possible court case.

You need to get off football manager and lice in the real world.

We've cleared all transfer fees the last one when Maja conveniently ended up at a club we owned money to....

Can't we do that whole 'deal agreed pending medical' thing other clubs seem to do?

Didn't Portsmouth sign someone about two days after the window shut one year?

You have a lot to say - you should buy the club and show us all hows its done. Thick as a castle wall.
