I'm 45. Black and white teles didn't have clickers. I think he was on a late shift at Plessie at the time.

I first saw the light of day in a house in Ford Estate. Back in them days you had to have your first kid in hospital, you could have the second and third at home, and any more had to be in hospital.

That certainly was the case . The thing was though in my case I was a twin - my sister being the first one out. It was a bit of a risk those days having twins at home still we got through it.

When mam got up afterwards she tore a strip off me old dad and granddad when she saw the crates of empty brown ale bottles in the pantry. Me poor dad had to gently explain it was her that had been drinking it.
