How is he getting on with the lions over there? Seems to be a popular choice to come in for the next test but I've no idea how he's doing for form

Bit of an ask for the lad to come in when he is just coming back from an injury I reckon.

Its a hell of an ask, but were pretty desperate. I'm not saying it is the right call, cant see them dropping woakes as he seems a bit of a favourite and Overton doesn't really deserve dropping, especially after Ball was picked ahead of him when he shouldn't have been.

If he is firing on all cylinders out makes it easier but if not then it would be poor crack from ftecb, so certain to happen

I'd rather he avoided playing with these shambolic mentally weak "cricketers"

You know as well as I do he'll be brought in undercooked when the series is over and break down and we'll probably get fined for it.

The end of last season he was bowling 84 mph and not getting it off the straight. He has hardly had any cricket since. If he does play i'm not expecting too much like.

Plunkett should have been given a chance and then one of Patel or Rashid as cover.

Crane is still far too inexperienced for a series like this. Moeen has been a massive disappointment, though suspect he’s affected by injury.

I've never seen this message board more unified and wise before the event than on this point. Was the obvious choice - absurd selection.

Not that it really matters: England lose test matches because they're shit at batting. End of debate.

Not only that Kenwyne, seems Twitter and Facebook are universally in agreement he should be there. As are the TMS lads. So seemingly, the only people who don't think he should be there are the selectors/coaches. Which has to beg the question - what's he done wrong? Has he been banging someone's missus?

It's frustrating - there's no consistency. It seems batsmen can earn test selection based upon one-day form - Malan, Hales, going further back a bit, Butler.

But the converse doesn't happen with bowlers? Plunkett has been absolutely brilliant for England in one day form - better than Ball certainly, who is statistically - and genuinely in my op - one of the worst one day bowlers in the world. He is surely well suited to Australian conditions - why isn't he there? He isn't even in the f***ing lions for gods sake.
