Nothing will ever convince me that this lass is anything other than a PR stunt. She must just get eaten alive in these high pressure business meetings, all in all I called it as a PR stunt disaster when she was appointed and nowt has happened to make me change my mind.

She seems canny at putting concerts on though

Margaret Byrne - March 2013. “Of course you could be a profitable club and sell your best players, but it’s a relegation model. “We want to keep our assets and not sell them"

look what we did sold our two best players mignolet & sessegnon now we in 20th with 1pt. Relegation written all over

Bare-faced f***ing liar. maybe she'll make a decent lawyer after all?

The suggestion in the media today was that the selling of Sess was down to his arrest for drink driving while we played MKD. If so, then it was PDC's decision on the back of his strict disciplinary stance.

Paolo said at the start of the summer that he wouldn't let Sessegnon leave if he couldn't get him replaced with a ready made, quality player. There were no signs that we tried to replace Sessegnon. I don't think he had anything to do with the sale.

You've never worked in PR have you...

Might sound irrational and ignorant, but I despise that that woman. We've gone downhill ever since she joined. Cursed us.

How?? Off the pitch we've improved. Byrne has no control what happens on it.[DOUBLEPOST=1379876447][/DOUBLEPOST]
Club has went backwards since this bint came in.

What the fuck does she know about football.

Quinny knew loads and was a poor chairman. Many of the problems we now have come from the overspending during the days of Quinn/Walton

Mig wanted to go and you cannot blame him in order to progress his career. It looks like Sess was pushed to me, was moving to WBA a real ambition for him?

I can't believe for one minute the plan all summer was to sell him last minute, and replace him with some plum on loan from Liverpool reserves.

why can't you believe that? I called it the first time Sessegnon was linked with a move this summer and they've been doing it consistently for years now.

Sessegnon said he didn't want to leave, PDC said don't sell him or at least give me a decent replacement.....he could see what was coming.

Ah copped a 3 weeker for less than what is on here.

The sexist crap isn't on at all, but surely there's a place for criticism?.....there's been plenty for the players and manager without rebuke.

Not getting involved, mate. Frightened, mate. Leaving this discussion to others, mate.

The thing is mate; what has Byrne actually done to deserve stick? As far as I can see she's been influential in this club signing big sponsorship deals and helping to grow the business. The utter shite on the pitch isn't her fault and the problems have been there for years

She's openly lied about the club's intentions.....which is her job I suppose, but if you're going to come out with stuff like those quotes in the OP around renewal time then our best players get sold you're going to get stick for it.

I don't think she's the one calling the shots but she's the one talking about it publicly.

Of course, love.

This and the timing of O'Neill getting the bullet: March 2013. ST renewal deadline: April 5 2013 iirc. A marketing ploy. Di Canio is most likely a pawn aswell; they knew he would create interest, particularly after the dourness of MoN and the evident unrest amongst the support..

So why did Di Canio come out and slag him off then?

I'm with the club on this one, if they keep PDC fair enough, if he goes I won't lose any sleep. I don't see anything to make me think he's the best manager we could get at this moment in time.
