I feel obliged to say he wouldn’t. Gray in particular looked absolutely out of his depth but he tried quite hard.Grigg would have been better than those two
Not forgetting that we peddled two decent keepers tooWould have been better for us in PL than Gray and Stead.

Despite scoring against Charlton on his debut ( if I remember rightly) I’ve always thought he realised he wasn’t good enough in that first game. There was a moment where he received the ball in what looked like plenty of space and he turned only to have already been closed down and mugged of the ball. You could see him thinking “ shit, that was quick”.Nowt against Gray. He just wasn't good enough for the PL. 236 games and only scored 47 goals at a lower level over the nearly 10 year career he had before us. He tried hard enough but ultimately just wasn't good enough.
Them two did a Bonnie Prince Charlie Stewart... Absent from the battlefield when it got too hot.Moira Stewart would have been
Always came across as a great lad did ‘Syd’. It only seems like yesterday he was taking on the Presidents (if I remember correctly) role at Gloucester. The disease seems to have taken over him very quickly, very fk sad.Marcus is doing incredibly well, considering. Compare that to another Bristolian, David "Syd" Lawrence (ex England opening bowler); only diagnosed a few months ago, and already in a wheelchair and more or less unable to speak. I've known Syd for a long time via cricket, and you couldn't meet a nicer bloke. Neither deserve this.
Yep a barn conversion. Cracking down to earth lad and his Mrs was lovely. Been out with him more than a few times over the years, such a shame.Lived at Coxhoe didn’t he?
