Just binged on the first series of Marco Polo on Netflix. Now I’m gonna read up on the real history just to see if he really was a hunky Kung fu fighter that shagged his way around the court of Kublai Khan and introduced them to Hollywood battle tactics and palace intrigue whilst being trained by a blind monk who never ever ever ever never bumped into anything and could read a map by listening to it.

I did the same with the Medici’s and was disappointed by the contemporaneous portraits not looking anything like that Stark bloke off of Game of Thrones.
