Management Nouse

Plymouth, Huddersfield & Brum - 3 winnable games but they're all in the same week.

How does a manager set about the task of taking all 9 points?

The first game is done and we managed to see Plymouth off with a reasonable economy of effort. Pedestrian in the first half but hit by a sucker punch before half time it could have easily gone wrong. A blistering 15 minute spell effectively ended the game as a contest. Job done, subs were made and the game ended with nobody looking knackered.

Off to Huddersfield on Wednesday to play a team 4th from bottom who are on their 3rd manager this season ...its only February FFS. They also appear to score for fun now so it could be a busy evening for Pato, BDB and the rest of the back 4 - Hjelde may need to temper his desire to wander up field as much in this one.

Whether Huddersfield are going to allow us any respite remains to be seen but they just had a tough afternoon chasing after Southampton players...

Mogga and Brum - well anything could happen in this one and my money would be on a draw if I'm perfectly honest.

That said, if we build on a useful and economical performance against Plymouth, take 3 points from Huddersfield and go into the Birmingham game in a position to string 3 wins together that will be real progress.
