Well this is ridiculous

It gets the decision right, yet is still a load of shite!

Not sure what people want tbh, criticise refs when they get it wrong in real time, therefore something done about it by bringing in a better system yet still criticise VAR when it gets it right!

Sure some people just have to twist.
It's clearly not better.

The offside rule was to prevent goal hanging not for someone's little toe being a millimetre in advance of the defender. Wouldn't surprise me if the rule gets changed soon to benefit the attacker.
They've got to have the equivalent of umpire's call in cricket - goal only disallowed if it's say at least 6 inches offisde.

Absolutely ridiculous to be going back and ruling out goals that are a toenail offside. That 'offside' wouldn't even have been perceptible in slow motion, let alone real time.
Perhaps have a whole body part needing to be offside rather than any fraction of something you can score with?

I’ve said it before, should introduce a second line to the offside, so you have to be so far offside for the on field decision to be overturned. This would be akin to the umpires call option in cricket and prevents everything from being overturned and disrespecting the referees. They showed the offside method they use in the Liverpool pregame and it looks far from convincing anyway
So where is this new line? What if that is a few mm either way?

Where do you draw that line with offside though!

It’s impossible, with offside it has to be yes or no surely?
Amazing how many people don't realise this :lol:

there's going to be absolutely fuck ton of penalties retaken like
To begin with maybe but players will quickly adapt as the lasses soon did in the World Cup just recently.
