Making the Play Offs only to lose

Nobody can knock this squad or manager after what they have achieved this season

Even if we dont get to the play offs it will of been one hell of a ride with some of the best football many of us will of seen by a Sunderland side

I love the never say die attitude and on the whole these lads look like they will die for each other
This all day.

We've been desperately unlucky with injuries, but you can't question the application and desire of these lads to get us into the top 6.

As has been said on here many times, the only big thing about SAFC in recent years has been the support. If we'd been a tropy-laden, successful club during my 53 years of attending, I could perhaps understand the shame of a few seasons in League 1, and the apparent self-entitlement of a few on here who think we should have spent 60 unbroken seasons in the top flight. But the fact is we haven't been. Every time we've gone down, to whatever division, it's been entirely on merit (or lack of it) and been fully deserved. Ditto when we have missed out on promotions.

With no centre forward for three quarters of the season and an average age of 22 on the pitch today, we have undoubtedly exceeded expectations in 2022-23. Not for the first time this season, we scored a goal (the winner) today after putting 16 or 17 passes together. Brilliant stuff!

Everyone is, of course, entitled to their opinion but it really is beyond me how anyone could be dissatisfied with our position this season. As is the absolutely laughable 'Mogga the Dinosaur Out' movement. Who, exactly, could have done much more with the resources (or lack of them) at the manager's disposal?

We're in for a thrilling end to the season and I, for one, intend to enjoy it. As has been said, the lads have done us proud this season.

Howaaayyyyy!!

Exactly nothing can undo what has already been achieved .The Lads and Tony Mowbray have absolutely nothing to lose in the next two game its all icing on the cake.

That's unlike a number of the teams around us who have everything riding on their next couple of games their entire seasons will be defined by their success in them or their failure.

Exactly !!!.... This is a joy ride for us, we have a great owner and structure going on

The other teams are deparate for the money where as we are just loving every minute

It would be nice to send Amad back to Manchester with a playoff winners medal.
This squad is more than capable.

I had written the play offs off a few weeks ago. Even when we played Hull and conceded that last minute pen I was of the opinion the play offs were gone even with a win. How wrong I was! Of course I’d love us to make them and then go on and win them.

Il be gutted to not be there due to the change of fixture as im at a wedding.

The experience for the young lads alone would be beneficial.
Exactly. Not that we would be guaranteed a place at Wembley but if we did make it that far you can't play at Wembley too many times. Every appearance adds to the experience for players. Even the two legged semi finals would be big games worth the experience.

We've already had a successful season so we can go into the final games without pressure. We sneaked into the playoffs last season and won it, so there is no reason why we can't do it again. 3 wins and 2 draws could be enough for us.
