I really don't know. Anything could be going on behind the scenes. You cannot possibly believe that the owners tell the manager he must lose?

Call me what you like but this club is one of the biggest in the country. We've been mismanaged but theres no excuse for thinking we should be consolidating in the 2nd division. If we think small thats all we'll ever be.Our resources aren't though. We've just had 4 seasons of league one revenue, some clubs still have PL parachute payments. You're living with your head up your arse and not seeing what's happened over the last 5/6 as having an impact. Basically you're taking shite
Please quote me stating we need to buy success. I'm really interested in where I've posted this! Thinking and acting as a big club doesn't always mean throwing fortunes at a problem. We aim to be in the Premier league and STAY there. Success can’t always be bought and it’s easy to say it can when it’s not your money.
So how do we suddenly become infallible?Call me what you like but this club is one of the biggest in the country. We've been mismanaged but theres no excuse for thinking we should be consolidating in the 2nd division. If we think small thats all we'll ever be.

It's implied, if not explicit. Maybe it's better expressed that some say we don't want to go up in a particular season but would benefit from another season in the division we are in at the time.
Where do I call us infallible. Please share the quote. So how do we suddenly become infallible?
There isn't excuses, there's valid reasons. Reasons you're totally ignoring.Call me what you like but this club is one of the biggest in the country. We've been mismanaged but theres no excuse for thinking we should be consolidating in the 2nd division. If we think small thats all we'll ever be.

Don't you mean "ANY season spent in this league" rather than "no season spent in this league"?No season spent in this league without promotion can be described as incredible in any way shape or form
Don’t ever try to win anything in case you don’t win anything.
Would look canny on the badge.
I'm ignoring nothing. I've not missed a minute of football over the last decade and I'm fully aware of what's happened. That's still not a reason to accept 2nd best and not aim for promotion. There isn't excuses, there's valid reasons. Reasons you're totally ignoring.
Well I'm not going to argue over grammar. I'm sure you speak proper English better than me

Problem was we bought even more dead wood.Probably the same people who always said it would be good if we got relegated from the prem as we could refresh, cut the deadwood, etc.
We all know how that played out...
I tells ya, the stars are aligning. The other results over the last few games have been incredible.
there 's been lots of people on here saying we should consolidate this year and go up next year, If we have the chance to go up this year we need to take it, myself and others have been saying this for months now and that we cannot pick and choose, just look at Norwick and Watford at the beginning of the season they would have been considered shoe-ins to go back up but are falling away, if we can get promotion then let next year take care of itself, at the very least we will have gained a whole heap of dosh to better our playing staff, and i believe that some of our players could be a breath of fresh air to a very staid premier league.Irrespective, we've had a great season. We're back.
If we recruit wisely in the summer and keep the core of the squad together, we will be amongst the press picks as a contender for promotion and rightly so.
I see this comment a lot and yet I don't think anyone has ever suggested it.

Exactly. Some of our fans are complete quims.
Losing hurts, but giving up is far worse.
You're blindly saying we shouldn't accept this as a good season. We've played in the division below for 4 seasons and now we're in with a chance of the play offs. Your completely and utterly ignoring that. Despite what you say . Your head is completely up your own arseI'm ignoring nothing. I've not missed a minute of football over the last decade and I'm fully aware of what's happened. That's still not a reason to accept 2nd best and not aim for promotion.

Well that aged well.I see nothing more the a defeat today at WBA. Two reasons. One being our massive injury list but mainly, I think our owners don't want us in the play offs. They think it's too soon. No matter how we've tried to fuck it up (Hull and Huddersfield at home), our nearest rivals have not taken advantage and here we are still in with a shout. TM will be told that we must lose this one.
