My kids won't eat custard made the proper way.
They expect it to out of a tin or a carton - preferably Madagascan Vanilla from M&S.
I tried to get started making some the other week and the wife (nope!) stopped me making the full amount as it would just get left.

Nobody eats custard anymore. Making your own custard is a bit of a faff but entirely doable if you want to pretend it's 1956.
