Wot no brun ale?A pints reduction incoming surely?
No it isn’t cheating, which is what I have the biggest issue with.So the stadium was already owned by the sauidis via the company they created to buy the whole club, and they've just sold the stadium to another company they created purely for this purpose.
Same owners, same bloody name on the company. Yet somehow this is perceived as revenue to the club-company without any according loss of value on the balance sheet?
That's just cheating, surely?
It does, indeed, stink. It stinks ! and how the fek do they get away with it?
And the honest truth is the main reason there are no enforced rules or laws to ensure football clubs are run as long term secure businesses and community assets is that there are far too many vested interests that simply do not want that to happenNo it isn’t cheating, which is what I have the biggest issue with.
It is simply another loophole, in a long line of loopholes, being exploited.
There needs to be a far simpler method of ensuring all clubs adhere to the rules. Either they are ill thought out or they are not fit for purpose. Massive contract length, selling woman’s teams to themselves, selling hotels to themselves, selling a lease to themselves. It is one loophole after another.
FFP / PSR was, I believe, brought in to protect the financial health of football clubs. An attempt to ensure the long-term financial security of football clubs. That isn't what is happening in my opinion.
It does, indeed, stink.
They get away with it because there is no law saying they can’t do it.
They tried to buy success, failed, so now they have to sell their property and rent it back to avoid a certain points reduction and being thrown into the relegation mix.So what does this mean exactly? Is this the start of them buying success, or have they just done this to avoid a punishment so they can carry on as normal?
We?Transactions between subsidiaries of holding companies is, under corporate law and regulations, legal and commonplace
Govts rubber stamp these arrangements
We would be naive to think that NUFC are only ones doing this , and even more naive to think KLD and pals wouldnt partake in the same if there was a financial advantage for them and the club to do so
Whyyyy nerrr mannn Waaaav out grernnnn them that’s whyIn unrelated news look like Sela are ditching them..
Boris Johnson is in charge? This genuinely isn't a piss take but if you were just about to build a £200m "best in class" training ground why would you sign a multi year "transformative" sponsorship deal of your current training ground?
Em maybe because they're not building a new training ground. This genuinely isn't a piss take but if you were just about to build a £200m "best in class" training ground why would you sign a multi year "transformative" sponsorship deal of your current training ground?
I have just been working for painting contractors and one of the lads was transferred from the job I was on to the "training ground at Benton" to do some painting there. Why would you be painting the training ground if you were moving to a new one?Em maybe because they're not building a new training ground.
Or a new shit tip for that matter, the Saudi hoop lickers (also known as journalists) just tell them what they want to ear.
Selling their ground has saved them from a points deduction which would have put them right in the relegation fight which is where they were prior the Saudi takeover. Pretty much means they have had to use their ground to improve their position and the additional £1 billion investment has gone to waste."New deal paves way for new ground" (showing years old pictures). The journalists are trying to make it look like new investment rather than a paper exercise. Playing into the delusion, but the future is no longer looking as Rosy, drenched in blood for what?

They are likely to get a large fine from UEFA for failing their financial rules this season and will also fail if they qualify in the next years unless they significantly cut their costs and sell their best players, pretty much weakening them and putting them at further risk of relegation.
