What? No it's not Forests fault. I didn't say that, in fact I said it's the FA's fault. I haven't seen enough of their games to know if all the reds were justified, but if I were the FA I'd have looked at them all, seen the game was a "big one" for that league, seen that it was on tv and thought, "you know what, I won't pick the lad who previously reffed the game between Chester and North Ferriby".

I have to say, the difference in the standard of officiating is more stark than the difference in the standard of the play.

If Shelvey deserves a red for flailing his leg, Lansbury deserves one for deliberately kicking Shelvey.

Shelvey is a dick for reacting, but Lansbury and his ilk need setting on fire.

Shelvey kicked an opponent on the ground, of course it's a red.

Whether or not Lansbury got or deserved one doesn't alter that ..... all of the rest is irrelevant.

Dummet is a clumsy lad who may or may not have pushed the lad deliberately so it's a matter of opinion.

Shelvey shouldn't win his he kicked out at landsbury

True he made a meal out of the original challenge but shelvey shouldn'tve kicked out
Totally agree mate. The fact he kicked out he will get a ban. It doesn't matter if Landsbury made a meal of it or not.

Both very harsh and should be overturned. Whist shelvy was stupid he didn't even make contact did he ?

The drummett one was an absolute farce to be honest. That ref was disgusting.

Good enough for them but if justice is to be served, they will be overturned.

I thought they changed the rule though? So its just a yellow if its stopping a goal scoring 1 on 1

Hence why Smith at Bournemouth wasn't sent off

Aye they did but only if someone was making a genuine play on the ball (at the referees judgement)

Honestly, not even a whoosh. If it was us. The rage on this board would have been at obscene levels. Of course I want them scummed and to lose but it is my opinion that they wernt red cards. Shelvey was very stupid for putting himself in that position though.

Haway shelvey kicked out towards him. I know that he didn't make much contact but they get sent off simply for raising their hands to the oppositions face. Something you just can't do surely?

Dummett did put his hands on him. Dermott gallagher reckoned once that happened he had no choice but to send him off. He didn't make a play for the ball so couldn't be yellow carded

Wasn't the rule changed in the summer? If a goal scoring opportunity is denied in the box then the punishment is now supposed to be just a penalty but outside the box still a red. I think.
Unless
a) doesn't try to play the ball at all
b) pulling
c)pushing

possibly a couple others

Just kicked out without making contact didn't he ?

Hand to out his hands on someone? It'd a contact sport and it was absolutely minimal contact.

Just seen it confirmed. Absolutely right decision. Both overturned.
