When the 5th one went in at St James', where you really taking comfort from the respective financial position of both clubs?

When Entwhistle scored the fourth on your own ground what were you taking comfort from then. ;)

does anyone take comfort from anything like that when you lose? It's in the cold light of day you realise your wages are 90% of turnover and the club owes a bloke who everyone slags off neck end of £200m. Basically, Ashley has a bad day and someone calls him fat bastard once too often and next thing you know there's a large Sports Direct where the Sports Direct Arena used to be

Can see Barton and Enrique leaving this summer as they will buy a tin pot replacement for Carroll.

The Mags have been fooled by a few long term contracts to Tiote, Taylor and Williamson but they probablys werent on any higher than 25k a week which is buttons in the premiership.

The test will be if they extend Bartons contract because hes on 50k

thing is though if he does manage to sell the club hes gonna call in that debt faster than you can say administration

Erm whose gonna buy it and leave that on the books owing to him...........

The size of the directors loan and most of its been there a while now is the reason he cant sell it..

Yeah it was going sweet till he forgot about due dilligence.

I've done a few (not many and smallish companies) and it would have took a couple of days to see it was a pup.

Income is x

Players contracts is y

Further payments that need to be paid over the next few years is z

Cashflow is

none of it would have been that difficult.

However, he still has £700m left.

I think his debt might be factored into the deal.

I reckon, he will be able to make money out of the club.

The players they are getting are cheap alternaives that won't break the bank.

If he can stay in the Prem this season and next, he will get a chunk of money back. Sale of Carroll and profits once the really big earners have finished.

Not a hope in hell mate..............

He spent the thick end of £100 million acquiring the shares at the top end of the market.....

Thats as well as the monster Directors loan snarling at any would be purchaser..........

Correct.

No way they will go for anywhere near what he paid and has put into the club via director's loans. Not for a very long time, if ever.

Picture Beefy when Gyan scored last night.

GERRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

That to me adds up to serious trouble if they're relegated again in the next few seasons. Ashley can't keep bailing them out forever.

I think I worded my post wrong. He will be able to get some money out of the club over the next few years. he will make sure it breaks even at least and will be expecting a few million a year from it. The way they didn't spend when they came up is an indication of how he is going forward.

Like his shops, he'll keep the costs low

Sod all mate in the grand scheme of things........

he keeps costs low and tries to scrape a million or two here and there he runs the very real risk of relegation and the loss of 25% upwards of the turnover............

Andy Carrols a one off stupid windfall ( is he really the 7th most expensive player of all time ) that wont happen again ......

Trying to do the PL on the cheap usually runs into trouble pretty fast

Maybe only Al-Fayed has really mastered it? Whelan maybe, but his boys look to be on the way out

No-one does mate christ knows how Fulham survived not that long ago.....

Every season anyone outside the top 8 or so can have a bad one and go down.............
