After the failure to win anything this year Madrid is in melting down mode.
Yesterday their President Florentino Pérez called an impromptu press conference to rail against all and sundry, qualified by the journalists as grotesque. Perez, owner of a Spain's largest construction company ACD, is one of the most powerful and influential people in the country. He is calling elections (though probably no one will stand against him, given the difficulties of the conditions for being a candidate).
The solution to all his problems seems to be in rehiring Mourinho.
We'll see how that goes.

Mourinho is a busted flush and an utter prick (obviously). Can't wait to see it go tit's up.

If coming second and having 3 or 4 of the best players in the world in your first team squad is disarray etc, I’d take some of that
Alonso was likely very hands on and totally opposite to likes of Ancellotti who excels in keeping the peace and massaging egos.

They will have no shortage of quality candidates ready to take the job and players globally still will want to sign for them

But the best teams in the world are now managed by ‘hands-on’ coaches and have a collective mentality and a clear way of playing.

Madrid continue to cycle through this realisation that they need to modernise their approach, bringing in a coach to shake things up and bring egos in line and then completely shitting themselves when those egos kick off because someone’s asking them to follow instructions.

Look at what Enrique’s done at PSG when their board backed him to sort the dressing room out rather than pander to the players.

There are very few questions in football these days where Mourinho is the answer.

MI would say that it will be interesting to see how this goes, but let’s be honest it won’t be as we all already know the answer.
 
The problem is that there's too many egos as it is, bringing in Mourinho to add another doesn't sound like a recipe for success.

As already mentioned, when Enrique went in to PSG, he recognised that players attitudes were the problem and quickly set about changing it. I'm not sure anyone going in to Madrid would be given that much power to change the squad tbh.

Mourinho will probs get onboard with Perez. Blame the system, blame everyone and everything.

Turn it into an us against them.

Gets the players mentality switched from fighting each other and him to being united and fighting against everyone outside of Madrid.

May last for a year, maybe three but probably will come crashing down in the end.
 
PSG went from "near do wells" to champions of europe & the best team in the world
Real Madrid went from european champions to trophyless in 2 years

Wonder what's the common denominator?
