I'll be extremely pissed off if Stokes isn't starting for England this week, hopefully he will be, but if he misses out, like some are suggesting, then why deprive him of a game against a top quality batting lineup.

Because the England setup is currently an embarrassment?

Could do with getting this last wicket quickly. Don't want them to push the score towards 450 after the great fight back.

think we need a bit more variety in our attack, when borthwick isn't on song we are literally just left with a conveyor belt of RFM. need to get an off spinner in there. not having harrison's left arm is a miss too.

well that worked a treat.

still stand by what i said mind.

And just as their innings ends the clouds come over, dark ones at that.

Looks like thunderstorms this afternoon rather than constant rain

The clouds are moving overhead fast but they're getting darker and thicker.

Heavy rain at the moment but it looks like it won't last long, the problem is that puddles are starting to form on the edges of the square.

Think the game is gone as far as us winning is concerned. It's almost a mirror of the first game - us 1 down after Day Two, looking to avoid the follow-0n.

A batting performance tomorrow of the calibre of Nottinghamshire away and we will put them in a tricky position, i.e. Not knowing whether to stick or twist with setting a total.

First job obviously is just to score some batting points. Be nice if we can get up beyond 300.

It's sunny at Headingley and forecast to stay that way all day so we should get a full days play in, tomorrow's forecast is light rain all day, but that will probably change before then.

Durham still have a long way to go to stop Yorkshire winning so it's important we avoid the follow on and make them bat again.

There's still a bit in the pitch but it's mainly at one end, as Lees and Lyth showed on day one the batsmen need a little luck on their side to survive the balls that misbehave. They both batted well once they got themselves in and cashed in on some loose bowling, but both admitted in their post innings interviews that they "rode their luck" early on, the late flurry of wickets makes their score look well over par so it's hard to know what to expect today, it could be a case of who has luck on their side, the batters or the bowlers.

Just to go firstly make sure they have to bat again.
