All irrelevant seeing how we're 8 points above the relegation zone. People are right to criticise a team in such a position.

Doesn't mean we aren't behind the team.
 

Well, 5 points to fight for tomorrow. Going to have to bat all day really. Expect the players to take no undue risks, so can't imagine us scoring quickly enough to gain parity much time before Tea.

Ideally we'll have a lead of around 70 by Tea with 5/6 wickets left but that's not going to happen.

You paint a particularly depressing picture for tomorrow Brandon ..... any chance of rain? Snow? A bit of sleet? :cry:

That unfortunately is the position we're in. Weather now suggesting a full days play so the batsmen will have to stand up and be counted.
 
It could be a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't, we've either got to be cautious and try and bat all day, or try and get enough runs in front so that if we are bowled out it gives our bowlers a chance to save the game. From the way the pitch has played today there still seems to be enough there for the bowlers to suggest a wicket taking ball is never far away.

There's no doubt we've been second best for the best part of the game, starting from the toss, we can only hope our lot get their heads down tomorrow and with a bit of luck on our side get something out of this.

Fingers crossed then, but to be Championship contenders it's at times like this that the players need to stand up and be counted. Let's see what they're made of.
 
opening partnership for them has more or less won this game - for what has seemed a low scoring pitch to let them score so much was criminal. variable bounce within a few overs of 11am on day 1.

we need bunny back badly. and as much as it will upset someone on here i would have macleod in for muchall as soon as possible, although i'm not sure richardson's place is not much safer. and i think we should try and get an off spinner into the side too
 
If McLeod cant get in the team when he averages 80+ for the 2nds & we are missing Stokes with a middle order that are really inconsistent, when WILL he get a chance in 4day cricket?
