LVCC - Durham v Notts

Rushy is tormenting the batsmen who are leading charmed lives. Hopefully, we'll turn their luck soon ....

Well, things seem to be going swimmingly at the moment. IF ONLY we could have knocked over the Lancy's last man we would be looking at safety tonight, but never mind, we like doing things the hard way.

Hats off to Colly, the man's just awesome sometimes.

Yorkshire 610/6  and a county record 6th wicket partnership beating the old one set 88 years ago.

Ditto that last northants wicket.

First one down "caught LBW" according to the man on the tannoy! Not a happy Mullaney trudging back to the pavilion. 22 - 1. 353 behind ........
Yea, I heard that.

But it was a proper good cricket innings from Colly, followed by the traditional loss of concentration and a stupid shot just after getting a landmark score.

Still, if Notts get that score they will have deserved a win, they won't though.

Northants are already down. The Lancs one was a real 32 pointer. Assuming we win and they lose we would have been 44 points ahead tonight, or early tomorrow. It was absolutely critical, but doesn't seem to have had too much negative effect thankfully.
My point was if we'd won that we'd be above middlesex. Who could still be in trouble as there only 7 points ahead(expect that to go up to 10)

Middlesex will get a draw, Lancs look as if they should get beat and we're bringing Scotty on so that 293 lead could take a beating .........

Have there been overs gained today? My maths suggests there should be 29 overs left (after Tea) but usually there's 32 per session.....

Marty Emmerson says the same, yet tea was taken late suggesting they took a while to bowl the 64th over of the day. I can't get me head round it.

Scoreboard shows we're one under the over rate and Notts were two over at the end of the innings. Could that have something to do with it?

Just a word of caution - Lumb ALWAYS makes a score against Durham AND Wessels has 1,000 runs this season so plenty of talent and the crease (and still to come - Franklin, Read, etc).
