Tom Smith back into the attack, will be a testing time this. His current figures - 8 - 5 - 10 - 2.

this suggests the weather will be okay

It looked like a shite Day 4 forecast yesterday but todays forecast of it is much better. Hope of a full days play.

Muchall c Buttler b Smith 15. 193-6, lead is 265.

Mustard lbw Smith in the same over for nought. Fuck sake man. 193-7.

Smith 4-14. Ha'way Duke, give it some clatter.

So, all that talk of playing some shots and a possible declaration is gone. Doubt we'll get to 350 either. Just hope we manage to get to 300 now.

Hastings survives an appeal for caught behind off Smith. He's on 1 not out.

Coughlin 50 ;-)

200-7 - Collingwood 46*, Hastings 4*. Lead is 272.

Two overs left until Tea. Think it may be worth playing some shots still if Colly gets to 50 and with Hastings there.

Hastings smashes a Smith bouncer for four

205-7, lead is 277. Last over before Tea, Kerrigan to Collingwood (46*) - will he go for the milestone before the break.........?

Coughlin 50 ;)

Averaging 44 .

Tea - 207-7 - Collingwood 47*, Hastings 10*. Lead is 279.

Reckon once (IF) Colly gets to 50 we should just give it some clatter.

I tend to agree. a 289 lead might already be enough and its pointless playing defensive and effectively waiting to get out. Would rather see another 20 or 30 on the board quickly and have a pop at them tonight now.

It's actually quite remarkable that in 73 overs there's only been 9 extras. That is pretty good going from Lancs point of view. We could've been beyond 300 on a 'normal' day of extras to be fair.

24 overs left in the day. Lead is 297 (for 8).

Especially when stokes conceded 8 No balls by himself

339 lead now with a wicket left. Lancashire will have to score the biggest total of the match to win.

Coughlin gone. 340 to win. 15 overs left tonight.

If we don't win this from here (weather permitting) then we don't deserve to win it.

We've given ourselves the best possible chance.
