Well morning chaps, today could be the day our Division One status is confirmed for next season. I have to admit to a bit of worry though.
Weather is forecast to be dry with early cloud which could help swing, wickets have fallen on every morning thus far and if that trend continues today we'll be in good nick to win.
Conflicting views on the state of the pitch. Most reports suggest variable bounce - which is what I'm hoping is true, albeit with further deterioration. However Kevin Hand is suggesting the pitch is still 'true'..... Clutching at straws perhaps?! I hope so.
Middlesex have pedigree of chasing big scores on Day 4 at Lords, but even if we don't bowl them out there's still the possibility that a few wickets will lead to Middlesex dropping anchor and a draw still isn't a bad result seeing how it's likely Lancashire will have to beat Sussex to keep their survival hopes alive - smart money has to be on Sussex and then the draw there.

The only way Middlesex will go for these runs is if they have got 5/6 wickets in hand and require about 140 of last 20 overs. But they will be quite happy with the draw and probably won't even go for it.
