Luton

Congratulations Luton.

I was hoping to post something the complete opposite with cheesy chips and Wembley and all that. However let us be respectful and honest here. Luton fully deserved that tonight and I for one have no issue with that. Good luck in the fiHal and fully deserved. Yes I’m gutted but hey,,,,it is what it is.

Did their goalkeeper ever have short passing between him and defenders? I can't remember any . Goalkicks and free kicks lofted into the penalty area at every opportunity. Not pretty but effective. Hoofball won the day but only because we were at the bare bones with centre backs.
Good luck to Luton they have worked hard to get within reach of the Premiership.

Everyone is saying that Roberts, Clarke, Amad etc never turned up - it was wholly down to Luton completely nullifying them/us.
I think there's some truth in that, but I'd say they didn't really adjust well enough to their game - one touch too many, and regularly caught in possession. We could have moved the ball quicker and played better around the press.

Easy to say, harder to do. Thought we looked a little tired tonight tbh

Grow up.

We could of had two sent off in the first half on Saturday.

Be a man and admit the best team went through.
The better team did go through, we did nothing tonight. Doesn’t mean that they didn’t kick lumps out of us though. Nakamba blatant red in first game and their striker should have went for a blatant stamp on Neil tonight

100% they were the better team on the night, but the “brand” of football they play makes Pulis Stoke teams look like prime Barcelona. Not for me

They’ll get f***ing trounced pretty much every week if they go up. Footballs moved on far too much to play that way effectively in the premier league.
All the people saying they’re like Wimbledon. The old ‘Dons’ wouldn’t have 9 men left on the pitch every game today. They’re fucked if they go up

I'll be supporting them in the final so I don't have to watch their particular brand of football next season. Also I can't stand Boro and actively detest those midland hobos.

I wouldn't say that, maybe we're just used to a certain style of football, which has been class btw
I would def say that, from minute 1 it was just launch it forward and hope someone gets a head on it. Like Wimbledon in the 80s

No doubt Be fans slagging them off for beating us but fair play they a good side. Big strong athletic, And graft there absolute nuts off. If we want to get promoted next season i think we need to add abit of thete sytle to our game in certain matches next season
They beat us fractionally over 2 legs. We had 1 defender on the pitch due to injuries. I mean 1 of Batth or Ballard fit then it’s probably a different game without changing our play at all

With our injuries I’d argue they should have beat us far more convincingly

Don't think they were necessarily dirty tonight. It's rotten football but there's not only one way to play, it's clearly effective.

They'll struggle on the big Wembley pitch and most likely lose to Boro.

Did what rhey needed to do well. Had a game plan and stuck to it. Utilised their big, no-nonsense dirty bastard team well and nullified us with their tiny little postage stamp sized pitch. They'll likely take derby's record if they get to the premier league next season though.

Constant fouling which the ref let go, as did the one in the first game, that's not even mentioning the stamp or the handball - ffs they even pushed the keeper into the goal and Mr Magoo missed it. They're utter gash. As for their no mark fans...ffs.

Shame we've had such a decimated squad because it's not often you'll play such a poor team in the play-offs. Coventry/Boro will batter them
