Luton

No doubt Be fans slagging them off for beating us but fair play they a good side. Big strong athletic, And graft there absolute nuts off. If we want to get promoted next season i think we need to add abit of thete sytle to our game in certain matches next season
Not sure about their style we just need a plan B. Something we haven't had since Stewart got injured. Luckily plan A has worked a treat until today.

Wrexham are getting loads of praise for managing to get out the national league with a mental budget.
Luton are 1 game off the Premier league and we're down there at the same time.
Fair play to them.
Fuck them as well mind.
*****.

The killers of the beautiful game!

league 1 club, punching above their weight with a style that works for them.

Rather they went up than Boro or Coventry to be honest.

Whole stadium was like a ‘hills have eyes’ scene like, proper Pompey vibes.

They play to their strengths. I'm not a football snob and there's a place for every style so fair play, if we can't stop it we can't stop it.

I do feel there's no way we lose that tie with even one of Ballard or Batth being fit mind but it is what it is.

They'll lose the playoff final comfortably to either Coventry or Boro IMO and I would fear Luton far less next season than either of those.
How do you arrive at that? Luton finished above Coventry & Boro and have just knocked out an in form Sunderland. Luton favourites for me.

Played to their strengths and our weaknesses and were the more effective team in 3 of the 4 halves played across the two legs of the tie, no matter how ugly their style is.

Cov might beat them, but Boro looked like a pub team at the SoL a couple of months back. And as much as tonight is a kick in the balls, I prefer Luton the club to the mutants and the cheating tramps (if only for their old 1970s-tastic badge).

Hope they get pumped, f***ing horrible team, but effective though.

My team played them at Bramall Lane a few week ago.
First half we had plenty of attacks but they parked the bus and we failed to create a single chance in a totally boring 1st half.

2nd half they started quite well, scored a breakaway goal to go 1-0 up.
Then they sat back defending parking the bus again. We had so many attacks and corners but we looked so limited struggling to create a single chance.

We ended up losing 0-1 and many of our fans commented it was the worse we'd played all season.
We could have played all night and still not scored, we looked rubbish and luton didn't look much better.

However a few days after the match when we'd calmed down, we acknowledged that Luton are a really tough side to play against.
For anyone over 40 years old Luton remind me of the old Wimbledon team from the 80's (yes they are anti football but it's kind of a complement, every team hated playing Wimbledon), would be interesting to see how they cope if they reach the Premier League.
