That 60k a year doesn't go far after tax when it had to cover alimony, rent on his new place and any other expenses, like council tax, shopping, utility bills.
Not cheap in London.

Coming on at 9pm tonight on BBC1.

I didn't watch the trailer but apparently it features a glimpse of Alice Morgan. Not dead as presumed it looks like. Always seemed a wrong decision to bin a main character with a brief spoken conversation in one episode.

They didn't want to kill him just create a necessary diversion so Luther would have to go and rescue him rather than follow the main villain behind it to the pre-arranged meet he was going to at the same time.
