Fans favourite, determined to succeed, great attitude and still young enough to develop as a footballer.

Thanks for your time here Luke, you'll be gone for any amount offered with these f***ing wankers running the club.

Looks like we are loosing two of our best players in McLaughlin & O'nein to be replaced by free's or has-beens.

Those saying either won't be missed must be watching a different team to me because they are two of the few with Gooch to come out of the last 2 seasons with any real credit... I'm really starting to despise Donald.

sure we turned down bids for him last summer

I’ve supported Sunderland for 47 years and have never remotely known it so bad. I honestly feel any half decent offers that come in for ANY of our players will be taken. As things stand I honestly fear we could be stuck in this league for a long time. The silence is deafening from the owners. It’s turned into an absolute nightmare at our club.

Aye, if you listen to Donald we also turned down good money for McLaughlin and he "wouldn't be sold for any amount" last summer.

We were told a contract would be offered, McLaughlin's form dips then he comes out in press to say he can't sign something that isn't there.

There is a theme developing here and this time Donald can't blame it on his predecessor's running (or lack) of things and is running out of time and excuses.

The owner has been here long enough to get a team on the pitch built round our best players, rather than weakening the first team and the academy at every opportunity to scrimp and save.

Donald gambled on Grigg, just like he gambled on buying and flipping the club after promotion, every major footballing decision has been a disaster and he needs to lower his price and fuck right off... before terminal damage is done.

Shame because you know we’re not going to get anyone better. I don’t even rate him that highly as a right back anarl that’s the worst thing.

If you listened to Donald we could afford to keep Oviedo or Cattermole if they were contributing. We paid them both off and didn’t bring in anyone better.

I'm not sure why people are talking about 'cashing in'. His contract is up. We have an option to extend. We haven't announced that we have, so presumably we haven't.

He'll likely be off because we won't want to pay his wages IMO.

A squad of 11 mainly shit players in 34 days time. And some people still stick up for them.

stewey knows what he doing. He knows what’s coming. Since the 20 million fiasco it’s the first time he’s not responded. Rodwell is there for the same reason Bain was. Sell the players, make shit signings and take the flak. We’ll be playing the bairns next season.... unless we’ve sold them as well.

seems like a decent lad, but it just shows how far we’ve dropped when we’re worried about onien leaving the club

When the alternative is Connor McLaughlin or someone older and slower who we'll end up signing on a free we've every reason to be worried 😟

No doubt about it, true to form will get some free transfer journey man in to replace him

We’ve already got his replacement in the building - Connor McLaughlin with another year on his deal. After looking at how we addressed left back in January I can only imagine what we’ll do at right back!

Honestly there is some real talent around that won’t cost a transfer fee.
If the club is right, the football suits the player and you have a forward thinking Manager you can assemble a side that could get you out of League One.
Some of the players may need a little man management but definitely some gems around.
With your set up it could sway a few decisions attracting players.

No doubting that... but you've just highlighted our main problems. We have a dinosaur in Parkinson (with the playing style to boot) Tony Cotton scouting, Richard Hill & now this Rodwell character running the show for another owner which who has gone in to hiding as a result of his failure.
