He was very good imo. Big lad in midfield was decent as well (no. 8)

I thought exactly the same. The number 8 (Williams ?) demonstrated how a defensive midfield player should operate. That is not intended as a criticism of Leadbitter, or McGeouch, or Dobson. Just a statement of fact. Their defence immediately looked less well organised and functioned less well.

I hadn’t realised that the right-back was so young. He was physically very short though. He was decent in both defence and attack and I’m sure that McGeady will have easier opponents during the course of the season.
