Doesn't look good enough, imo.

From what I've seen he looks a solid signing. Defensively his attributes are pretty decent (albeit based on 2 games at left centre back). Would like to see him as a genuine full back to see what he's like going forward but if the price is right i'd be happy with this signing. Looks better than what we have or say a Figueroa or a neil taylor and at a cheaper price. Everyone would prefer rose but that looks increasingly unlikely and am yet to see a better option than this lad so far

It's possible to target more than one player in each position yer knar. Not every deal happens.
not according to the SMB

Danny graham was our only option in january

... Apparently

Mentioned him a few times on here but Guilherme Siqueira at Granada has impressed me everytime I've seen him play. Always stood out - is comfortable on the ball and gets forward alot but has some engine in him which gets him up and down the pitch meaning he doesn't leave the team short when he goes forward.

He said he wants to leave Granada this summer but has been linked with some big clubs so may have better options available to him. Saying that mind he has been linked with Stoke City recently so you never know. Also played in Italy with Udinese and was a youth at Inter so our scouts are probably aware of him.

Best video I could find of him on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-hwmTMSJt8

Blue and red isn't it? Fantastic link even working on iPad.

Some people on here need to find reality. After the season he had we were never going to sign Rose. Fantastic player too good for us. Would love us to sign him. Some people are clutching at straws with this one. Much like Welbeck and Evans.

Bit worried that it takes time for South American based players to settle and get used to European football especially the Premiership. Anyone think of players that settled. On the subject I bet Riveros and Da Silva would have adapted if given time and were eased into our game rather than dropped in randomly.

Di Canio has stated that he wants to invest SAFC (players, management, coaches and support staff) with a more positive and professional attitude and approach, with a view to achieving ambitious targets in the short-medium term (within three seasons). For example, making SAFC the more prominent club in the North-East.

It is to be hoped that 'the revolution' will also address the cringe-worthy 'ever so 'umble', 'we are not worthy' attitude of some supporters.

The truth is that Danny Rose, is a young professional footballer who hasn't achieved anything of note in his career and whose club appear to be well stocked with left-backs. SAFC are a fairly well established Premier League club with the 7th highest average attendance. The suggestion that Rose will leave Spurs for a 'bigger club' than SAFC begs the question - 'Which bigger club ?'

If the young reserve left-back from another club in the Premier League is beyond our reasonable ambitions then we really are in dire trouble.

Good post..especially the highlighted bit.
Seems to be every man and his dog claiming we are akin to one of the smallest clubs in the premier league.
I just dont see Norwich, Swansea, Stoke, West Brom, Aston Villa, Fulham , ( the 3 new promoted clubs ), nufc, soton, west ham being able to offer more than us in terms of money , crowds or future prospects.

looks like Orban will soon be a Sunderland player

Andy has put an article on the Sunderland News and Banter Page, I would put the link up but it won't let me

seems as though the lad is strong and quick so at least he has the attributes to succeed, lets hope more Arca than Angeleri

Lucas Orban is a really poor player, River reject that ended up at Tigre where all their shite players go. Stay well clear.

it says....

Lucas Orban will soon become officially a Sunderland player. http://**Non GDPR compliant third party tracking link removed**/17y2Rpn #SAFC

won't let me open the link

Weird, can't see that anywhere. Although the link doesn't look like a particularly reputable site

We don't currently have any left backs so it is highly possible we might sign 2. Better teams than us will be in for Rose if he is available

Why don't we just stick one of our great right footed players there who is also just as good with his left.
