No I did speak to a Wigan fan I know who wasn't impressed with him for them. Seems an odd signing.

I wish it were but sadly it's par for the course. He's just replaced Matthews as an utterly abhorrent footballer we got on the "cheap".......that is until we end up paying his wages to play for someone else in the lower leagues.

They are never going to learn. We need a new start under a different owner.

I think he's been signed as a back up right back ,
Problem is we haven't signed a proper one yet
I don't think that's the only problem. If he has been signed as back up he has to be ready to play. On his showing so Darin his career he needs to develop a lot before he will be ready.

Papy will improve us, as has adnan J, Mcnair should be a bench man for the future which baring an injury crisis he would be

Love shouldn't have been bought but its hardly a bank breaker at the end of the day
Papy was alright today, but he'd have to go very far to cover the loss of Kaboul and Kone, who were levels ahead as a partnership of anything we've had in years.

Januzaj flatters to deceive so far. Showed it today, can easily skip past people and then put in a shite ball. Struggles to take a corner.

Mcnair and Love - less said the better.

I'm not writing them off, just the truth of it so far. We've spent £13.5m without improving ourselves what so ever. We could have had M'Vila and Yedlin for that and be sat here level for last year, only ready to add quality.

Moyes has to take responsibility here.

I'm not sure it's anything to do with the owner. Can't imagine he is recommending adam Matthews and Donald love.
Cheap is fine, crap is not. Plenty of cheap full backs about in the league who do a decent job.

I think he sets the tone and the emphasis for years has been to get players in for next to nowt to fill spaces and don't worry too much about if they're actually any good.

Every manager we've had since MON has moaned about the recruitment here......it's got to be coming from someone.

I agree absolutely we should be trying to find gems on the cheap but first and foremost we need a decent team to bed them into and we don't have that now......even though in May I'd have said we did.

He does

He is picking kids instead of one of our best players

He sold Kaboul

nobody else
Kaboul put himself in control of his own destiny, it's harsh to blame Moyes for that. And at least he's trying to stare down Kone - who is the one who should be embarrassed and humiliated, not a young lad thrown in but trying. That's what I mean about Love having some balls; he's not faking an injury.

I wish to fuck he would.

We didn't have to sell Kaboul

And we should be playing Khazri

And we shouldn't have signed McNair and Love

Simple

I think the need to find these cheap gems stems from the inability of those managers to recruit well.

None of this is the fault of Donald Love. Just give the lad a chance to find his f***ing feet in this mess.

We haven't sold Kone yet have we? I liked Kaboul a lot and loved that defensive partnership as much as you, however he asked to leave for personal reasons. Whatever they were and there have been suggestions on here it was to do with kid, then I can understand why he was let go, esp with his injury record

I think Papy and Kone will be fine myself

Disagree on Januzaj, I think he could be one of the best loan players weve had in recent years and have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that he will play for a top club, a club much better than us. If that's flattering to deceive in your imo then fine

Mcnair was brought in for the future, its just extremely unfortunate he's having to start games due to an injury crisis. Love is shit

Nobody knows the score with Mvila

I can't see the criticism of Moyes so early on is justified and I certainly don't agree to the OP that I replied to that Moyes has made many, if any, ridiculous decisions in his 4 weeks with us to date

I think they're being hamstrung. They've all intimated as much. hard to blame them for poor recruitment when they end up with their third or fourth choices.

I was more commenting on Januzaj for us so far - its clear he's a good player, what isn't clear is whether he has the appetite for the fight we will be in.

Its fine bringing in players for the future, but when its detrimental to the first team, its poor management.

Kone will almost certainly leave like.
