Lou's Fine Ales and Beers

So they aren't boring, you just don't like them.

Did I say they were boring? They are to me, bland and uninteresting, but my point was that the selection in supermarkets is boring as they rarely get anything new or different in. Can't blame them, they stock what is going to sell, just that I get bored of even the ones I like.

If you don't like the idea of this type of shop don't visit, it's probably not your thing.

Nee idea if it’s good or not but I’d give it a go for £4.29 a bottle. Less than you pay for a pint in most decent places in Newcastle (and a few in the town).

Imperial stouts are like Guinness on steroids, thicker darker flavoured and much stronger. Not a session beer obviously but nice to finish the night off with summat like that. To me anyway.
I don't mind a pint of stout or porter like. Any places in the town do them?

Quite like that Tontine they sell in The Dun Cow.

Draught? Dun Cow, Fitzies and Isis your best bet.

Bottles in supermarkets? Marksies do a canny Irish Stout, London Porter and a nice Black IPA, not sure if Sunderland stocks all three though
Just on draught. Didn't know if you had one you would recommend. I'm not really up to speed with porter and stout.

I wish the lad well in his new venture.

At present mainly supermarket shit thats why hes asking what people would like to see stocked.
His intentions, so he reckons is to create a proper Rehills type place. only got his word for it, i dont know him

Go past the shop ever day. Just been talking to the very bloke. Seems sound. Said he is pushing for Wylam type gear and craft too. Hope it works well like.

I think he is a bit naive to think he's going to create Rehills in Sunderland. That lad has ran that shop for years and can get pretty much owt you want. The beer is a small bit of what he gets in there. He's a good bloke him.

Had a pop in here, at the minute there's very little in, only a few standard supermarket ales, and a few Wylam brews.
Don't think the shop is big enough for a proper specialist beer shop. Think i'll pop back in about 3 or 4 months to see if he's progressed his stock.

Aye. What was the Wylam stuff like ? Did you see how it was priced ?

just noticed this place on cleveland road after i left the gym so popped in.

Lad behind counter reckons hes going to try and create a "Rehills" type of place and is awaiting a bloke from york to start supplying him. He is open to ideas of what people would like so ive hoyed my two penneth in, mainly IPA's obviously but for those who like their ales get yourself in as he says he will get whatever you want.

Anyway the Jakehead and Hickey The Rake are mine lads!
Please say he stocks Beavertown...It would save me the trek through to Fenwicks.
