Louis Theroux Interviews......

Louis was very kid gloves with Jimmy savile when he did his episode. And admitted he in a way went easy of savile. Only episode that let him down . Most of other work brilliant and toe curling at times

Just watched the AJ one, not sure what to think of him after watching that

I thought he came across as reasonably level headed but a tad concerned that he may not win another world title. Not sure it was Louis' best interview. The best part was going back to AJ's old home in Watford really.

Yeah, other ones he followed them all over, this was just 02, boxing gym and Watford.

Pete Doherty is tommorow nights

Watched the AJ and the Pete Doherty interviews, interesting enough but I didn't come away thinking I'd got some amazing insight to their lives or anything. Felt like they scratched the surface. Think I prefer the Louis Theroux documentaries really.

Thought it was poor.
The bloke is obviously still tortured by his demons. Swigging that rum neat from the bottle and chain smoking is better than mainlining heroin I suppose, but no way to go on for a lad his age.

The party after the Libertines gig was obviously getting lairy as well with that ginger beardy smack head.

All the people he's interviewed in the current series have one thing in common.

Outside what they do for a living, they're just not that interesting.

Let's hope they don't give the specky twerp any more licence payer's money.

I think he's trying to steer clear of any controversial characters because of his interview with Saville.

I think there's alot of regret in his head that why didn't he confront him further about the allegations and simply just went ok and regrets the fact the news came out decades ago and didn't pick up on the self-confessions Saville made with Louis.

Louis is a great guy but there's clearly a still few demons going through him from the Saville episode which prevents him from doing a really good interview with a really controversial character.

It's sort of on his camera man too tbf. I remember they had that candid footage of Saville late one night discussing allusions to less than desirable acts.

As for this series, I've seen AJ and Doherty. Both were fine, but they felt like the TV equivalent of a forgettable Sunday newspaper profile. Touches on the big things without ever really getting to the meat of a person.
