Looks like we're struggling to get our top targets in

then we'd never sign anyone.

why surprised? premier league loans don't tend to happen until late in the market when their squads are settled.

I disagree, we would sign players who want to be here, are you insinuating no one wants to be here? Already proved wrong by some of our signings to date

Think it's a good thing to be honest. Means were driving a hard bargain. Disappointing that folk don't seem to fancy the north east but we new this from before short paid people more to do so.

Important thing is that we continue to go for the right type of player that in my eyes is young and on the way up.
There is, of course, nothing wrong in driving a hard bargain, unless it is so hard that it means that the deal isn’t done.

For me, the right type of player is the one that the manager has identified as his first preference for a particular position or role within the team/squad anything else is second best.

No, I'm saying the majority of players will weigh up their options and sign for what they feel is the best deal for them and their families.
if we only want to sign players that just want to play for us, we'll be left with a bunch of kids from the u23s. and they'd soon fuck off if they thought they'd get a better deal elsewhere.

I don't agree. Not every player would be like that, but the majority probably would. If you are talking £5k for top wage in League 1, and £20k in league 2, then not many people will do that, unless they are already millionaires and just want to play

Ffs man:confused:.
IF we were losing players to Villa, Leeds and Derby, I could half understand it, but Rotherham and Bristol:rolleyes:.

That’s just indicative of how far we’ve fallen. Our best player in the first half of last season wasn’t good enough for Bournemouth. He left us in January because he thought he was too good for us.

We've been an unfashionable club for about a decade or longer, hence one of the key reasons we are in this shit is because we had to spend more money on mediocre players to get them to come here.

We are now in league 1 after two successive relegations.

Why oh why would we suddenly become fashionable and players would beg to come here?

Some unbelievable Ross tinted specs on a lot of posters still. Without wanting to be agist, I think it will be harder for the older Safc supporters to really grasp how we look to neutral third parties

A few replies on twitter this morning to fans , gave us and him another timescale of a few days.

What if we get to Wednesday with no movement ?

This is what I mean by naivety.

Actions not words.

I think it would be naive as a fan looming in to think you know the deal better than those doing it. Also an assumption to think there is no back up plan.

I think I’d rather play in L2

They proofed with mcgeoch that they could get a deal done.

The manager May have identified said players without knowledge of said players willingness to play for the club or wage requirements. These things have to be fluid and as Ross gains experience with the club his and our scouts targets May be better refined.

Or we May just beat by clubs higher up for the food chain. It has to be fluid.
