Looks like the end for Tom Harrison

Good. ****.
Might be harsh, but I hate ANYONE who uses our game to further their career, or their own pocket.

You almost expect it in football. But cricket is different. And anyone who uses it for their own agenda - as Harrison clearly has - can get to fuck. The game is too pure, too beautiful to be spoiled by some rich **** in a suit.

Take your Hundred, your £2.1m bonus, and fuck off.

Difficulty is, according to the Times today, ECB board of directors still have faith in him. Only they have the power to sack him; counties don't have that power.

Absolute cretin.
It's the ECB board of directors who are the cretins. Approve £millions to be spent marketing the hundred, approved £1m bonuses for organisers who themselves set criteria for its success and allow those same people to monitor whether such criteria has been met.
Very clever but extremely sly and devious for a cretin is Mr Harrison

They're all cretins.

I think he’s had good intentions (grow the grassroots) as opposed to Giles Clarke who was all about squeezing every £ out. All Stars and the fact that the BBC got some rights are proof of that. The 2020-24 media rights contract he negotiated was acknowledged as really good, and that’s a big part of his job.

His bonus was a disgrace though. I don’t know how he could take that with a conscience while people were being made redundant elsewhere.

His disregard for rules comes as no surprise.

Durham financial difficulties - cripple the County with illogical sanctions.

Yorkshire serious racism problems - tap on the wrist.

Surrey fail to play CC game against Durham - no action taken.
